Nothing beats an expert
Published: Tue, 11/05/13
I try to learn everything I can from experts.
Those that have done things before me.
They have made mistakes, which they are usually willing to share.
They have had great successes, which they definitely like to share.
Sometimes I may tire them out from my relentless questions, but
they get over it when I thank them profusely for their time.
In this frac sand testing business, I readily admit that I
don't know everything.
That is why I'm continually trying to learn from experienced
frac sand explorers, sand processing equipment manufacturers, and
other laboratory directors.
That sand took 200-400 million years or more to go from rock to
frac sand. I figure the least that I can do is "respect my
elders" and become an expert on it!
If you hadn't heard, I'm also trying to learn and share
knowledge on this tremendous oil boom going on in the U.S.
One way that I'm doing that is by starting a podcast featuring
success stories in the U.S. oil boom.
I just did an interview today for the podcast, by the way.
I also recently posted an interview with an executive recruiting
ninja. The interview is here:

As I said, there are more valuable interviews to come.
I hope to bring insight through real success stories, so that
others can find their fortune in this oil boom, should they want it.
Nothing beats talking to - and learning from - someone that has
actually "gotten dirty" and done it.
Enjoy your day.
