How to sweeten a honey deal
Published: Fri, 07/17/15
Amazon.com just had a special “holiday” they created called Prime Day. They offered it to all Amazon Prime members this week. Membership is available for $99 per year, and you get free 2-day shipping as well as a library of videos on their streaming video service.
Apparently, there was some sort of backlash on Twitter about how the deals “weren't good enough” or that some of the items on sale sold too fast.
Boo hoo!
Funny thing is that this so-called Twitter backlash created awareness of the sale, and caused more traffic to Amazon. Thus even more sales! Ha
Lesson here: count cash register rings, not tweets, when judging actual results of a business.
Amazon was just sweetening their “honey deal” of Amazon Prime (I'm a Prime member, can you tell?)
So, I'm going to do the same thing at the lab, with a sweet deal.
If you purchase one of our frac sand testing packages (which are already a honey deal, in my humble but accurate opinion) in the next month or so, you will get a complimentary Whole Rock Analysis (that means that I'll pay for the analysis at no charge to you – an $80+ value).
The Whole Rock Analysis includes:
- Uses XRF analysis to determine the following concentrations (in %):
SiO2 (silica), Cr2O3, Al2O3, V2O5, Fe2O3, CaO, P2O5, MgO, Na2O, K2O, TiO2, Mn2O3
And you get all that by ordering just one of our sand testing packages.
So, the first frac sand testing package – we call it our Initial Frac Sand Testing Package as it lets you know if you're in the ballpark for frac sand – sells for $950, and it includes:
-Washing and Processing
-Sieve Analysis
-Sphericity and Roundness (1 size)
-Bulk Density (1 size)
-Crush Resistance: Single Stress (1 size)
The second testing package is full API analysis. This package runs $1,950 and includes:
- Washing and Processing
-Sieve Analysis
-Sphericity and Roundness (1 size)
-Turbidity (1 size)
-Acid Solubility (1 size)
-Bulk Density (1 size)
-Crush testing with K value determination (1 size)
We aren't going to “sell out” of whole rock analysis packages, but the clock will run out. I'm thinking end of August, so don't delay.
